There’s a reason I always get my children to school by 6.30am everyday…
Two reasons actually…
The first is to create in them a family tradition of punctuality.
For the past one year, we’ve been consistent with our school resumption time…
And they even got awarded for the most punctual pupils at some point. 💪
The second reason is about me.
The long early morning walks back to my office with very few vehicles on Etagbor road feels very therapeutic for me.
I particularly love the feeling of spending time with myself for a couple of hours before the start of work…
So it was today. As I walked lazily along the path between the university’s main gate and Sparks shop, I got a WhatsApp notification on my phone.
I took a moment to peep, and behold, an International number.
An Engineering firm all the way in India had been following my writings on social media from the inception of our plantain farm right up to the setting up of our plantain processing factory.
They sent me a long catalogue of machines they suggest we would be needing to set up a factory that would meet modern standards.
This gesture has definitely taken a load of work off our shoulders and when the time is right, we know what and where to look for the specific kinds of machines we will be needing for our productions.
Meantime, we produced a new batch of plantain chips over the weekend.
The reviews from the first batch we produced has been very encouraging.
We even got several repeat customers.
